About Me

My photo
Hi! I'm MLS and this is my blog. Grown-ups get to do everything cool while expecting us babies to lay around and drool. Babies unite! Join me in a revolution in which babies are heard! We have much to say if anyone bothered to listen. This is my way of getting my thoughts out there and maybe, just maybe, giving insight into the secret thoughts of babies everywhere!

Parting is NOT Sweet

Vacay Pictures!  This is the reason I've been gone for over a week, and I am so sorry I didn't make it clear that I would be away.  Fail.  However, I hope you will not be too angry at me, as I am dealing with two losses at present.  First, Daisy has found a new home with a friend from church.  He has more time to spend with her than I do these days.  I'm a busy brother you know.  Apparently she is already going to work with him and sleeping in the bed instead of in her cage.  She's moved up in the world, and I have to accept that.  One day I shall.  The second loss is that Baby Sis went home to her family yesterday.  Mommy says I should be happy when it ends this way, but I'm just not right now. When I ride in the car, I see her empty car seat base.  When I go into her room, the bed is gone and all the pink blankets.  When I run downstairs, there is no happy baby screaming at me from the excersaucer.  *sigh* Yes, this will take a while.

Beach Bound Babies

It's finally here!!!  Time for beach and sand and water and Nanna and Poppy and Auntie KK and Uncle J and fun fun fun fun fun!  I've been talking about this for a month now!!
Did some last minute train shopping for my trip.  Did you know they have entire magazines just for ferroequinologists such as myself?  I had no idea!  Found this one laying on a table at the doctor's office.  Though I get the feeling it was geared toward gentlemen a bit older than myself.  For one, the prices were outlandishly high.  Two, it had random bits of grass and "streams" you could order.  I mean that just sounds like something an old man who's lost his mind would order..."Oh yes I think some grass would look lovely on top of my train...."  What do grass and water have to do with trains?  They would just take up track space.  Stupid.  ("MLS!  What have I told you about your language?")  Sorry mom.  I meant to say, "That is utterly ridiculous in its entirety."  Better?

"A Landslide Brought Me Down...."

Never trust a little brother to do a big brother's job....look at this control tower JD built.  Just look at it! First of all, he built it on an inclined plane of books.  Bad idea.  Secondly, he completely forgot to bolster it from the inside.  A little lateral shaking cause by a Daisy-quake and bam!  Down it slides onto the helpless innocent train, poor conductor trapped inside.
Ok, so there's small possibility that it twas I that built the train control tower...and I may have been chasing Daisy at the time said tower fell.  But let's not waste time arguing semantics here....the important thing is we've all learned a valuable lesson.  Never let your trains wander off their tracks...it's a jungle out there.

icraze

I think mom has officially gone iphone crazy.  She never lets me blog anymore because she forgets to turn on the computer for me because she does everything she used to do on the computer on that phone of hers instead!!!  And then there's dad, who takes his tablet everywhere because he can't bear the thought of not being able to check his scores and stats and updates 24/7.  I've had it!  Despite my immense technological prowess, I am an old-fashioned guy at heart.  I see the good in these techno-gadgets, while recognizing the severe danger they pose if not used sparingly.  And now dad's got JD hooked on watching all the basketball highlights on the tablet before bed.  I'm only in the picture because I was trying to explain to JD why he didn't need to get sucked in...and because every time I looked away they started losing.....

Expand Your Horizons...Read!

How's that for a motivational title huh?  But seriously, I would like to address the importance of reading, as it has come to my attention that many of my peers (and their parents, for shame!) do not care to read and seem to be more intent on mastering the latest "game app" than doing something that is good for both the mind and the spirit.  Now I admit to holding the world record high score in the Scrabble app, but how do you think I got there?  Not by spending all my time in front of a screen!  Nay I tell you!  Reading a regular old book is where is all begins.  Read the classics - Thomas the Locomotive, Ferdinand the Bos Primigenius, Leap on Patriarch, etc.  In no time you'll be just as smart as my little bro, my wonderful protege, who has taken wonderfully to the good Rev. Awdry's great works of literature.
